City Revival Boys And Girls Homes
A burden to help the needy children in our society was placed in the heart of City Revival Church. With this burden, the City Revival Boys and Girls Homes were established and became part of our community project for Subang Jaya. Today, there are 19 boys and girls under the care of City Revival Children's Homes.
City Revival Boys Home
It began with te Boys Home, which was established in July 2006. Majority of the children are from the Klang Valley area, aged between 5 and 17 years old. Over the years, the home has grown in number and today, there are 13 boys in the home.
City Revival Girls Home
Three years after the Boys Home was opened, the City Revival Girl's Home was set up in February 2009. There are currently 6 girls under the care of the home aged between 8 months and 17 years old, all from around the Klang Valley area as well
Part of our policy is to accept children of all ages without cost. Only genuine cases will be considered.
Each applicant must go through an interview with the Home Parents and Coordinator before being accepted.
Objectives of the Children’s Home
- To provide them a real family environment with love, hope and security
- To meet their needs and help them spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally and socially.
- To help them improve academically and discover their potentials and gifting in life.
- To teach and mentor the children according to Christian principles. This will inculcate proper Christian values to enable them to be good, reliable and responsible.
- To teach them to care for people.
Operating the Homes
- Every Home has Home Parents that run the Homes
- Their daily activities include prayer, teaching, rest, recreation (sport, TV), studies(homework, tuition), healthy meals and various duties. During weekends and holidays, they may have outings or excursions(some of which are sponsored).
- All school-going children are sent to nearby local schools and are encouraged to join co-curriculum activities.
- The Home are run according to Christian principles and children are tought to have the right values, manners, habits and principles.
